By accessing and using Lifespend ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use our Service.

Description of Service

Lifespend is a financial visualization tool that helps you understand your spending by converting transaction amounts into time equivalents based on your hourly rate. The Service allows you to:

• Upload bank statements (CSV or PDF format)
• View your transactions as hours of life
• Categorize and analyze your spending patterns
• Track your financial habits over time

User Accounts

Account Creation

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service
• One person may not maintain multiple accounts

Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized use of your account

Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or to violate any laws
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Use the Service to harm, harass, or impersonate others
• Overload or interfere with the proper functioning of the Service

Your Data

Ownership

You retain all rights to the data you upload to Lifespend. We do not claim ownership of your financial data or transaction information.

License to Use

By uploading data, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

Data Security

While we implement reasonable security measures to protect your data, you acknowledge that no system is 100% secure. See our Privacy Policy for more details.

Service Availability

• We strive to keep the Service available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access
• We may perform maintenance that temporarily limits or restricts access
• We are not liable for any downtime, service interruptions, or data loss

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lifespend and its operators shall not be liable for:

• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
• Damages resulting from service interruptions or data loss
• Any damages exceeding the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (if applicable)

Termination

By You

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. All your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice. We may also terminate the Service entirely at our discretion.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
